Wilkommen Zum Oktoberfest!
10 October 2020

Oktoberfest is a historic folk festival celebrated for 16-18 days in Bavaria, Germany and imitated throughout the world.  Oktoberfest began in 1810 as a celebration of the marriage between Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen.  Today, it's a festival to celebrate the food, music and traditions of the Bavarian people while enjoying time with friends and family.

At Rilke Schule, we partner with West Berlin Restaurant to bring an authentic weekend of food and beverages to the Rilke family and community in general.  We typically offer multiple two-hour sessions over a weekend where individuals can purchase tickets to enjoy authentic German food, beverages and music in a family-friendly atmosphere.  This year's event will look a bit different.  The details are being finalized and more information will be available shortly.

The event is a fundraiser for the RSV with proceeds going towards furthering our support of Rilke Schule's students, teachers and faculty.  Tickets will be going on sale at the beginning of October, so keep your eyes peeled for updates.  Sind Sie hungrig?  See you there!

UPDATE: KTUU filmed one of the seatings on Sunday, 13 October. Click here for a link to the story!
